Hello, my name is Mr. P I’m a graduate of Lake Forest High School (2006) and Delaware State University (2015) with a degree in Music Performance. My primary instrument is Flute. I’ve been playing flute since the 5th grade. I’m highly motivated and energetic individual who has 23+ years of experience in music lessons impartation. Overall, in the East Baton Rouge School System, I’ve been teaching band for two years. My first year, I was the Assistant Band Director at McKinley Senior High School located in Baton Rouge, LA (2018-2019). I’m currently the Band Director at Scotlandville Pre-engineering Magnet Academy (2019-2020) located in Baton Rouge, LA. As your instructor, I will be able to transform you into a well-rounded musician. Practice is the key. I strive for excellence! My philosophy of music is, "Enhancing the minds of students through music". Let's make music! Are you ready??? I teach online and in-home lessons to students. I create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere. I assess a student’s readiness and ability. I teach weekly flute lessons as well as other woodwind instruments to students of all ages and ability levels (especially beginning and intermediate levels)  I'm flexible with my schedule academic school year and summer months.
