My name is Val and I am an expert in teaching voice. I have been enjoying helping singers and musicians for over 15 years and so very proud to have clients who have already climbed to #1 on Billboard charts and are successfully developing their careers with major labels such as Columbia Records and Warner Brothers. Besides teaching voice, I have an extensive expertise in instructing piano, music theory and ear training. I also teach sound production at Harold Washington College, and have experience in orchestration and arrangement using a variety of software like Pro Tools, Cubase, etc... I work with a variety of domestic and international talents, composers, musicians and bands, and help them to further their projects to the new heights. My teaching philosophy is based upon an individual approach. I assist my students with discovering their artistic potential and guide them to overcome obstacles to make the most of their training. I provide my students with the technique that would last them a lifetime and build up skills that are necessary for a successful career. I have established connections in the music industry and keep expanding my networks, so that I can best help my students to find the best platforms for further development of their careers. I welcome motivated students who would dedicate their focus on polishing their craft to the highest standard in a great learning environment! So, whether you are an experienced musician or just in the beginning of your educational journey, I perhaps, can help you to advance you potentials and/or bring your skills to the next level! I am currently based in Chicago, but I have coached and performed in the past in Moscow, Paris, Barcelona, Dubai and New York. I base my technical approach in classical school, while effectively applying it to a wide variety of musical genres including Pop, R&B, JAZZ, Rock, Musical Theatre, and Gospel. *** Lesson Details *** Convenient location, great studio, fun working atmosphere. Has adapted well to my unorthodox & rebellious learning style.... Definitely feeling the support
I'm a beginner and Val was very patient. He started me out with some great basics for me to practice and enforced that I should make it fun!
