Before I started playing the flute, I was painfully shy, and I rarely spoke to classmates. Music ended up being what helped me find my voice-- literally. I didn't just develop musical skills, but I developed confidence. Now, I can proudly perform in front of massive audiences and the best musicians in the world. I believe music has the power to help others the same way it helped me. I don't just focus on building technique in my lessons, but also on building self confidence and helping students find their voice! Music has the power to change lives. I focus on uplifting my students and creating passion. I don't want my students to feel beat down trying to be "perfect" that they stop loving what they do. So my approach is both based in strategy and developing skills, but also in making music fun and enjoyable. I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2020, with a Bachelors degree in Music, focusing on Latin American flute music. Since then, I have taught in public schools, teaching music to students with special needs. I have learned how to adapt and modify lessons so EVERYONE can participate. I believe experiencing music making is a joy and a human right, and am very passionate about teaching all students.
