I am a trained character performer who studied at a wide variety of performance schools. These include The Second City, SF Comedy College, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Killing My Lobster. I was the youngest student to ever reach the advanced course at The Groundlings School of Sketch Comedy. After studying character comedy I began producing videos. This led to garnering over 750,000 followers on Vine, and over 6 million views on Youtube for my variety of one-of-a-kind characters.

I also have extensive work in television, stage, and immersive theatre. I directed, wrote, and starred in a series called Un Amor along with decorated actors such as Sean Astin, Seth Green, Tara Strong, E.G. Daily, Nyambi Nyambi, and Greg Cipes. I conceived a comedy troupe alongside actor Finn Wolfhard from Netflix’s Stranger Things and It, producing an audio sketch comedy album. I specialize in bringing out the best in each and every person who has a dream of performing.

I believe there is talent ...

Joe is a fantastic teacher. I felt instantly comfortable and open when we started working on my character studies. When he started breaking down the nuances and methods to get into character, I honestly felt like I unlocked something special, like a secret acting vault. I left feeling like my acting abilities were taken to the next level. His classes are super personalized and he helped me find my strengths and what makes me unique as a performer. I would totally recommend Joe!

Carolyn has and is exactly what I was looking for in a voice coach. Like me, her interests in the performing arts are broad. I felt both excited and comfortable with her. She is professional and easy to talk to. I can sense strongly that Carolyn is full of love and compassion. I am so excited for the next lesson! Here's to the new horizon and everything in between! :) Thank you Carolyn for reassuring me that my decision to switch careers was a wise decision indeed. Dance forward.

I was a Theater Arts major at Trinity University where I took part in several productions, including Cabaret, Trojan Women, Chemin de Fer and Die Fledermaus. AT San Antonio Little Theater I performed in No, No, Nanette and Philemon. As a student at UTSA, I performed in Trial by Jury, Boris Godunov, Iolanthe and the Madrigal Christmas Dinners. I was hired by UTSA as a paid performer in the Madrigal Christmas dinners from 1984 to 1989. This job involved a lot of improvisation. From 1989 to 1995 I taught Music and Drama at Converse Elementary. In the 1990's I performed in The Magic Flute and Don Giovanni as part of the San Antonio Festival. I have done freelance work over the years as an improvisational performer for special events. As an elementary music teacher and secondary choir teacher, I have produced and directed numerous programs and musicals. I have taught acting and public speaking to a number of students.

I've been a professional actor for over 30 years. My work has ranged from classical theatre, world premiere plays, to guest starring roles in television and film including Modern Family, Scandal, CSI Los Angeles and many more.

I co founded an award winning regional theatre in the Northwest that is still running strong. Last year, the film I directed, Here Awhile starring Anna Camp, and Joe Lo Truglio, was released to wide acclaim.

Throughout my career as an actor who has performed with 6 Academy Award winners, I have remained committed to sharing my knowledge and experience with other actors.

I received my BFA at Southern Oregon University where I worked at the famed Oregon Shakespeare festival. My MFA comes form the Alabama Shakespeare festival. I taught acting at Cornell University and Willamette University as well as teaching privately for the last 20 years.

The industry is growing and changing all the time, and what makes working with me particularly special is that I'm ...

Tim's class is a great resource for anyone looking to improve their acting skills, audition technique, or general understanding of the industry. He does a wonderful job of translating his extensive experience into practical advice for other actors. Every week, he provides individualized feedback to each workshop participant on every aspect of their submission. I've learned so much about specific techniques for television and film acting, the practical and technical considerations when putting together a self-tape, as well as just general professionalism and industry standards. Thanks to this workshop, I feel much more confident and prepared for what a career in acting entails.
Liz
This is a very useful class. I've learned a lot about making self tapes that I didn't know before - from technical considerations to acting skills. The class is friendly, supportive, and useful.
Lauren
I love working with Tim! He consistently guides me to do my best possible work, and I always walk away feeling confident that I crushed the audition, whatever it is. And booking several jobs after getting coached by him certainly doesn't hurt!

I consider myself a comic who missed a calling and now that I've been trying to regain a piece of myself back in middle life I am happy to have Will around. He challenges you to be your best and is the kind of person you could also come in front of. This for can read people and knows how to make your skill work for you. "I absolutely loved taking lessons from James. I was just coming off of a long break from acting when I found him, and I’m so thankful that I did. He gave me the confidence boost that I needed to push onward in my training. Since he has experience in the industry, he was able to tell me (truthfully) what I need to expect when my career takes off someday. That aside, we read through screenplays, did some accent work, improved a bit before every class, and talked about the power of positivity/confidence. I learned a little bit of everything from him. If you’re looking to get started on your path to an acting career, James is definitely your guy! He’ll do whatever he can to prepare you for your crazy journey through the industry."
