I graduated from New England Conservatory of Music with a degree in Classical Bassoon Performance and Contemporary Improvisation. I currently play as a freelance player and perform with local experimental ensembles in the Austin, TX area. Bassoon has been a passion and my primary means of expression for as long as I can remember. I want to help students achieve that same sense of accomplishment and direction I felt and continue to feel with the instrument.

I was classically trained for 11 years under bassoonists Mark Goldberg, Richard Svoboda, and Lori Tiberio. My Contemporary Improvisation studies were conducted with renowned improvisors Joe Morris and Anthony Coleman at the New England Conservatory of Music. As a graduate of NEC's Contemporary Improvisation Department, I can help students push the boundaries of their instrument, think outside the box, and utilize techniques not often found in the classical community.

About Joelle

I am a professional bassoonist and I recently moved to Leander, TX from NYC. I graduated from New England Conservatory of Music with a Bachelors of Music, specifically Contemporary Improvisation and Bassoon Performance . With my background in experimental music and free improvisation, students ca

Rene is incredibly knowledgeable but that doesn’t prevent him from breaking down the basics to help me as a beginning singer.

He’s very informative, explaining the why and the how, and doing so in a way that’s easy to understand. It’s helping me establish the foundations of musicality while working on the physicality of developing my muscles, mind and body, to be successful with this new skill.

Aside from the art/skill of singing, Rene has been patient and flexible with my nomadic lifestyle, which can be susceptible to weather, connectivity, and a myriad of other disruptions. I don’t wish him another student in my circumstances, but he’s been willing to work with mine!

Rene is a great guitar player and a great teacher! He has an incredible ability of assessing where you are currently at in your guitar journey and using that’s information to determine what lessons/knowledge you need in order to achieve your music goals.
Anthony R.
Rene is a talented patient teacher which will give all the tools you need to be a great guitarist. Save yourself months of messing around and book him now! He will teach you anything you want to learn from theory or your favorite guitar riffs.

I am a practical vocal coach with 25+ years of experience as a private voice teacher, audition coach, music director, and piano accompanist. I am based in New York City where I enjoy providing affordable lessons and helping aspiring athletes and artists pursue their dreams to belt on Broadway, let loose with karaoke, or rock out with a local band.  I really enjoy troubleshooting difficult songs and helping my students who are passionately committed to their goals but have limited time for a more traditional curriculum.

My main expertise is coaching professional dancers, singers, and actors to:
(1) sing a variety of styles (especially pop/rock),
(2) build an audition book that represents their brand,
(3) prepare sides and monologues for callbacks, and
(4) develop a storyteller mindset.

Although I work primarily with young professionals, I also enjoy serving recreational learners whose musical dreams may simply be to:
(1) learn a new song,
(2) sing karaoke with friends, or

About SD

Practical troubleshooting is the main driving force behind my lessons. As a coach, I often meditate on the following questions: (1) How do we make sounds and communicate with speech and song? (2) How do we convert 2D symbols (text) into a 3D body (performer) and create a 4D emotional experi

I have loved working with SD. I grew up as a concert dancer and was interested in transitioning into the musical theater world, and SD helped me make it happen! She is wonderful at explaining difficult concepts in a way that “non-singers” can understand and implement. I always feel comfortable working with SD and leave every lesson with more tools to use for both auditioning, and for just singing along with my guitar. She helps you discover parts of your voice that you didn’t even know about - skills you didn’t even know you have! Lessons with SD are both fun and productive, the perfect combination. 10/10 would recommend!

SD is truly an outstanding teacher! She is extremely professional and is an expert at what she does. Making sure you understand what and why you are doing what you’re doing with your voice and body. Focusing on whatever goals you’re trying to achieve and making it fun along the way! I highly recommend SD to anyone wanting to work on their singing!
Corinne Holland
I was always nervous to sing Pop Rock. But SD has really helped me understand the pop rock sound. Now, I feel comfortable, confident and am actually excited to sing pop rock!

She can also play the piano so that is extremely helpful to go through different cuts. :)

Meghan dove right into the lesson, customizing it at the perfect level for our daughter's experience. We liked that she was prepared and maximized the time. She has a youthful personality and knowledge of pop songs which is a great personality fit with our 13 year old daughter. She also customized the lesson and song choice in a way that would appeal to my daughter. My daughter is actually excited to take lessons and is already planning her list of songs she wants to learn.

"Ulyana is a very special young woman. In searching for an online teacher for my Daughter,I felt that "Uly" would be the correct choice. My Daughter has different abilities and therefore different needs as well as understanding. Ulyana has stayed dedicated over the months and my Daughter continues to grow. Uly's skill and understanding levels are excellent, but her strength of character in perseverance and ingenuity are directed toward securing meaningful success. Growth continues to be achieved in small steps with every lesson. I am forever grateful to and for Ulyana. My Daughter is a stronger more capable individual because of Ulyana. GRATEFUL,Tom C."

"I feel compelled to share a great “find” I made last year. School had only been in session for two weeks before my kids came home lamenting that their AP Physics teacher left them totally confused and stressed out. Switching to a less demanding schedule wasn’t an option so I decided to look for some help. Lord knows, it wasn’t going to come from me or my husband! I found Daniel, a 2012 UCLA engineering grad who has been tutoring for many years. After the boys’ first meeting with him, the level of stress in our household plummeted and the boys did well on their first physics test. They ended up with A's in the class and doing well on the AP exam. We’ve decided to have him come regularly, just to make sure the boys understand the material and keep them confident. Daniel is able to help them with anything they don’t get in their calculus class as well.
So as you stare the next school year in the face, if your child has any difficulty with their studies, especially in math or physics, consider talking to Daniel. He’s a lovely young man and the boys really responded to him well."
