A normal lesson will start out with some easy conversation while warming up your body and breath before moving into vocal exercises. You will learn some basic music theory which will help when learning new songs. I believe that anyone can learn to sing and that everyone is learning everyday. I start my lessons with questions as to your learning style and goals, as well as getting to know your musical history so we can structure lessons in a collaborative way. I want students to be in charge of how they use their time with my guidance and instruction. I prioritize knowledge of anatomy and how it relates to different styles of singing and I guide students in learning how to pick their own repertoire and prepare for self-evaluation and practice.
