I have over 25 years of crocheting experience. I like to work with all kinds of yarn.
Teaching and designing are my true passion. No worry about how far you can go, let's just pick yarn and a crochet hook work on chain 1, open up the joy of handmade.

Let's keep it simple, what you can learn from me:
following patterns,
reading charts,
crochet terms
modifying patterns,
finding the right tool and yarn for the right projects,
finding the right project for you,
tips when working on a project.

Am I the right one for you? :)

I also teach knitting, if you are a beginner that doesn't know which one you like, why don't you try to take a knit and crochet lesson from me, find out which is right for you.

If you are an absolute beginner, I recommend the first 1 or 2 lessons to be 1 hour long. After, that any time slot will be fine.

Bonnie, taught me how to knit In a matter of minutes. I was a bit hesitant of taking an online course when it came to knitting however she is very tech savvy and placed the camera in a perfect position. I was able to see her and at the same time see where her hands were on the needles when she was teaching me how to knit. She is. very skillful teacher, calm and also very kind. If you have ever wanted to learn how to knit book a class with her and you will surely learn.

I'm here to make your crocheting dreams come to life!

I've been crocheting for 27 years (since I was only 5 years old!) and I want to share my expertise with you! I am able to help you learn the basics, from chaining and simple crochet stitches to working in the round and increasing/decreasing stitch count. Perhaps you've already learned how to crochet the basics, but want to dive deeper into specialty stitches, texture, and more - I can help you with that, too!

I am happy to work with adults and children, alike. Children are ready to crochet once they can tie their shoes and sit and focus for the desired lesson time. Want to partner up and take a class with a friend? I offer discounted rates for multiple people at once!

I am located just outside of Seymour, WI, near Oneida. We can do lessons in my craft room, via Zoom online, OR I can travel to you for a small fee.

Let's make some beautiful things together!

About Amanda

I learned the basics of crocheting when I was 5 years old and have been crocheting ever since! I taught myself how to accomplish tough stitches, read patterns and diagrams, and even write patterns. I run a small business, Almightyemu Crafts, and participate in local craft shows in the Green Bay and

Hello! I have successfully taught crochet to children and adults, sharing my experience in crocheting that brings so much joy and relaxation to my life! I have worked for a private school in Orlando for 14 years, and use that experience to effectively work with all ages. I am the mother of three young adult daughters who have also embraced the craft.

Crocheting brings so many benefits to our lives - it's a STEAM activity (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) which keeps our minds sharp! Creative minds can unplug from the digital world and create incredible designs with their own hands!

"I have to update my review now that I've had a bunch of lessons with Amy. People who can do something well and also teach well are rare and Amy is one of those. Before I started with her, I had been doing crochet using YouTube and had taken a couple of local classes. I was pulling things out and starting over frequently because i'd realize i didn't understand/had totally missed something, which was getting frustrating. Even in the live classes the teachers were nice and skilled but they didn't take the time to make sure we understood certain fundamental facts about crochet and what we were doing, focusing more on just getting it done. Amy makes a point of expressing the basic things one needs to know about the stitches we are doing, as much as helping me get the final result.

I looked up online lessons because the quarantine had started and I had purchased a sweater pattern that I really wanted to make, and thought i should be able to accomplish. Many people on Ravelry had complained about the pattern's shortcomings -- some had given up on it, though the people that did complete it, had great results - over 95 people posted pictures of their results, though some aren't quite like the advertised picture. I really wanted to make that sweater though, so I thought it was time to get some real lessons, and found Amy. The way she talked me through the pattern and other patterns, I totally got how to look at patterns and think about them. She lets you know her thought process so you can think it through yourself. Now, when i rip something out to do something over, it's not because i don't know what i'm doing so much as i now know what i'm trying to accomplish. The sweater is almost done and btw, looks just like the picture!! I've realized that it's a great idea to tell Amy whatever i'm thinking and she will give the best advice. Oh, and from the first lesson, she got me getting straight edges easily (now, it makes so much sense but at the time it seemed like a fluke whenever i had a straight edge!)"
