I am a practical vocal coach with 25+ years of experience as a private voice teacher, audition coach, music director, and piano accompanist. I am based in New York City where I enjoy providing affordable lessons and helping aspiring athletes and artists pursue their dreams to belt on Broadway, let loose with karaoke, or rock out with a local band. I really enjoy troubleshooting difficult songs and helping my students who are passionately committed to their goals but have limited time for a more traditional curriculum.
My main expertise is coaching professional dancers, singers, and actors to:
(1) sing a variety of styles (especially pop/rock),
(2) build an audition book that represents their brand,
(3) prepare sides and monologues for callbacks, and
(4) develop a storyteller mindset.
Although I work primarily with young professionals, I also enjoy serving recreational learners whose musical dreams may simply be to:
(1) learn a new song,
(2) sing karaoke with friends, or
Practical troubleshooting is the main driving force behind my lessons. As a coach, I often meditate on the following questions: (1) How do we make sounds and communicate with speech and song? (2) How do we convert 2D symbols (text) into a 3D body (performer) and create a 4D emotional experi

Kait is a vocal coach, songwriter, arranger, producer and sound engineer. She works hard to make sure her clients learn how to get their best in home recordings as well as learn solid methods on how to be efficient and successful in their professional studio experiences.
Kait uses and is well-versed in GarageBand and has been using it since it was first released in January 2004. She offers individualized one-on-one coaching designed to move at whatever pace a student is ready for at the time they begin.
Kait does NOT teach people how to become professional sound engineers. Her focus and set up is for helping primarily vocal artists record their songs, be they original or cover material. "My goal is to help singers and singer/songwriters capture their creativity! I love empowering people to keep record of their work, whether it's simply to better hear how they use their voice and improve on that or to learn how to arrange and record several instruments along with their vocals. I'm a professional musician and instructor, teaching various instruments for over ten years. My main instruments are guitar and drums/percussion, but I've also played and taught piano, mandolin, ukulele, and harmonica.
I would love to work with novice ukulele players of any age, to get you through the basics - chords, melodies, rhythms, strumming, finger-picking, and so much more! We can learn popular songs for the ukulele and/or talk about reading and writing music on the ukulele. I'll structure lessons according to the age, skill level, and interest of the student.
I studied music at UCF (Orlando), focusing on classical and jazz guitar, but I also have years of experience playing rock, blues, folk, hip-hop, and musical theater on both guitar and drums. I have been teaching guitar, drums, and piano for about eight years to students of all ages. Music is wha

I aim to instill a sense of groove, to teach the students how to play well with other musicians in a band setting, as well as advancing their own personal development on the instrument through various technical and rhythmic exercises. Most importantly how to love holding down the low end.
