Aural skills have many applications: playing your favorite songs by ear, transcribing melodies and chord progressions to learn conventions of a specific musical style, even singing more in tune, to name a few. Through a combination of incremental exercises tailored to your specific weaknesses AND transcribing your favorite songs, you'll improve your ear and gain a newfound understanding of how the music you love works.
