I've taught children for many years and enjoy it a great deal. We do a lot of games and language work; tongue twisters, classical text, made up stories and so forth. Children can be quite serious about their dreams of acting and I take them seriously and train them carefully.

In addition to teaching a language arts curriculum for k-12 students, I have taught university courses geared for academic preparedness in English. Genre-based study and research skills are the foundation of these courses in addition to focused grammar instruction. Awarded Achievement Scholarship Award from Berklee College of Music
Hello! I have been teaching guitar for over 7 years now. Form beginners to advanced students I make it my duty to find the students interests and help them develop their own sound. As a Berklee College of Music graduate I have studied composition and music production, skills that I am happy to teach any student. In addition to teaching guitar my students have the option to learn music theory, as well as recording and mixing original compositions that we develop together in class and as homework assignments (DAWs - Logic & Protools). My specialities include Blues, Classic Rock, Jazz & electronic beat production.
I have been playing guitar, piano, bass, ukulele and drums for 11 years now (teaching for 8 years). As a teenager I started playing all kinds of music and quickly became obsessed. At the age of 21 (2013) I went to Berklee College of Music where I studied guitar, composition and music production for
I'm not young, and I'm hard to teach music theory to, but he was patient, and is helping me figure a way into learning important stuff that I find kinda dry and not fun to practice. (I'm a good player, but music theory is very challenging to me.)

Let's have a modern fun approach to singing, songwriting, & piano! I'm Elena, and am a Pop Singer/Songwriter, have landed on the Billboard Dance Club Charts with my songs, as well as radio-play in North America and UK. Currently based between New York & London.
My specialty is working with songwriting students (all ages) and teaching music THROUGH your writing and passion. I believe students learn and internalize information rapidly when it's taught via songs they're excited about. Maybe you're writing songs but want to incorporate better chords and melodies and want to learn more music theory? Maybe you've never written a song before, but adore pop writers such as Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish or Jon Bellion? A combination of learning to sing, play piano, and write your own music?

Bachelor's Of Music in Violin Performance from Hunter College

Teaching since 2011
I’ve been teaching violin, voice, guitar, bass, ukulele, piano and theory/composition for over a decade, and pride myself on making lessons for specific peoples’ goals and needs, and making sure it’s fun while I’m doing so. Over the years I’ve spoken to so many people who once expressed interest in learning music until they had a teacher uninspire them through rigid, judgmental pedagogy - and I never want to do that! My students have fun and learn about music (and sometimes even a bit more about themselves), and leave with a furthered curiosity about music. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I've helped many young students prepare for their auditions for schools, including honest assessments and well structured and realistic programing to reach their goals/help prepare their material and mindset for their audition.
Firstly, thanks for taking the time to learn a bit more about me! I’m Melissa Folzenlogen, aka Baethoven, a Black and Japanese NY born and raised multi-instrumentalist and singer. I started studying music, specifically violin at 4 years old, and basically never stopped. I’ve played on streets an

In a perfect world, acting would be enough. We would just train and perform well and the jobs would just come. We know that is not the case. Half of being a working actor is learning how to sell our skills and experience. The Actor Bio is a subtle tool that, if used well, could make getting work much easier. In this article, we are going to look at why the Actor Bio is structured the way it is and write one as we go. By the end you will not only have a working example for reference, but a be …
