I learned the bass guitar when I began listening to rock music. I would often double on bass and sax. I have a Hohner, a Stingray V and a DP Custom 5 string and plenty of stage experience.

About Hayes

I've played sax for 27 years, bass for 22, and taught many students and performed with a variety of acts. I studied music and education at Kent State University, obtaining a bachelor's degree in 2006. Musical instruction is therapeutic for some, for for others it can be a journey to some destination

Hayes is super helpful and encouraging. I walked in feeling a little intimidated because I haven't really played in 30 years. He made me feel very comfortable and motivated. Good first lesson.

As a middle-aged guy who has played drums all my life, I wanted to add the bass guitar to my repertoire. Hayes is exactly the right guy and was able to show me how to get off to a quick start and then be able to add to my skills as I keep playing. I would recommend him highly!

I have an extensive list of songs, most of them simple with some more complex ones, and will offer to show you how to play any that particularly appeal to you. Or, if there's another song(s) that you're interested in learning, I will learn it if I don't already know it and show you how to play it!

About Gracie

I've been playing music (my first instrument was the xylophone) since I was 10 and have been described as a natural. In retrospect, I fondly remember playing music in band class in school. Now I have years of experience playing bass and guitar as well. Some of my personal favorite artists are Pink F

I have played extensively as a professional electric bassist, touring both domestically and internationally. I can help you with basic and advanced aspects of technique as well as the genres of Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop, R&B, Rock/Pop, Latin. I can help you with your specific needs as well as show you new techniques that are necessary in the professional world. There is an option to learn by reading music as part of the curriculum.

About Christopher

In my many years of teaching and being taught I have realized that the best teachers are those who really focus on the needs of the student and help them realize their passion for playing music. This usually involves a lesson plan which combines both technical aspects and working on songs, so that

I've taken bass lessons from Chris for about a year. He's a very skilled musician and is also very good at communicating in a way that makes concepts easier to understand. He has a laid back personality that makes lessons enjoyable but he still demands effort. Overall, I would recommend taking lessons from Chris

I have no musical background, but I thought it would be fun to learn the guitar as an adult (I'm 31). A friend recommended that I take lessons from Chris; there's no question that Chris was qualified. Overly qualified! But it's not Chris' talent that makes him an effective, influential teacher. Rather, it's his calm demeanor and clear vision of how best to teach the basics and mechanics.

It's be a blast learning from Chris. Our weekly lesson is always a highlight for me! He's as great as they get.

I’ve done both in-home & remote lessons with Chris. Chris is a really great teacher, with a deep knowledge of music theory and technique, but also the ability to adjust that to whatever level you’re coming in at. I was a near complete beginner with a lot of anxiety about playing in front of other people when we started and Chris was able to work through that with me with a lot of humor and kindness. His agenda is to work with his students on songs they are interested in learning, and along the way weave in lessons on how notes and chords work, which I’ve really enjoyed. He also teaches bass guitar to my teenage daughter, who really enjoys her lessons and has improved greatly since they began. I highly recommend Chris.

"good all-around teacher

Aaron is a positive and inspiring instructor. He is very competent on the instrument (and I believe he is well versed in more than just bass guitar) and is a working musician. In my lessons he has attempted to guide me into territory I was unfamiliar with in a way that I can understand. Sometimes that has not been so easy, as with Modes, but he is willing to modify the lessons according to what I have wanted to learn and how easily I can absorb it. If there's something I'm not grasping, he tries to explain it in a different manner and with a little effort on my part, I can comprehend it. He definitely wants his students to learn and have fun, while also making it challenging."

"Mirco is such an incredible teacher. My 15 year old son's confidence, and not just in playing the bass, has increased so much since starting lessons with Mirco a few months ago. His skills improve weekly, he looks forward to practicing playing everyday and he can't wait for his lessons. Mirco chooses awesome songs for them to play and assigns appropriate exercises. The lessons are a pure joy to listen to. I highly recommend Mirco as a teacher!"

"Most Excellent Teacher

I feel very grateful to have found and now be taught by Jesse. Despite my considerable age beyond his, he treats me as a peer and has kept me on my toes with learning tasks. Further, lessons are actually fun as well as challenging and about once a quarter, we have "band night" where many of his active students come together to socialize and to "jam" together.
I've had other teachers in my life (I'm in my 60's) and Jesse is by far the most intelligent, skillful and enthusiastic.
My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner."
