I am a teacher of 13 years and I love what I do!
Ballet is a great workout in addition to being the foundation for all technical dance. It's a great place to start and always to come back to. Ballet has many benefits to offer students at every level, which is why even Pro football players take it!
Through ballet lessons with me, you will stabilize find better balance and control, strengthen, tone, and elongate your muscles, have increased flexibility and mobilization, improve your coordination and confidence, and much more.
My ballet lessons cover basics of posture, placement, alignment, and turnout. We begin practicing essentials such as positions, plies, tendus, pirouettes and more. Once the student shows proficiency in these basics, we move into more advanced movement and choreography. There is strong focus on technical precision and skill to ensure students are learning the correct foundation so they get the maximum benefit out of their ballet lessons. ...

I have taught this language at the beginning and intermediate levels. Immediately following my college years, I worked in Austria.
I have over thirty years of experience working with students of all ages, both in private and group settings. I have also taught in Latin America - in Spanish - as a Fulbright scholar. I have had the privilege of teaching with TakeLessons.com since 2012.
It was my purpose setting out to study music in general, not just to study an instrument but to use the instrument as a means of approaching music in the abstract. I set out to study music’s mechanics and theoretical foundations.
Jonathan is very knowledgeable and very meticulous. He has a precise and analytical sort of mind, and very strong foundations in his classical training.
To have a wealth of knowledge in one's subject is not enough, one also has to know how to teach (which is a whole skillset of its own). It is clear Jonathan is an experienced teacher. I have never felt rushed with Jonathan, he is very generous with his time. He provides ample resources for study outside of our sessions, and is quick to respond to emails. He has lent me books, sent me links to videos, and provided me with plenty of homework.
Jonathan has also been very accommodating in allowing me to have some authority in planning lessons and exploring my own interests. Particularly I wanted to study modal music and found a folk song in the Locrian Mode. We took a break from the Suzuki work we had been doing and he helped me transcribe the song and practice.
I could not recommend Jonathan enough, I am switching focus from violin to piano for the time being and will be employing him as my piano tutor, and I’m very much considering taking spanish lessons under his tutelage as well.

I am an experienced performer and teacher with 20 years experience on my instrument. I specialize in non-traditional forms of improvised music and classical music, but teach all genres. My lessons are individually catered to students of all ages and learning abilities to keep their interest heightened and meet their needs. I assist students in building a strong musical foundation through proper technique, note-reading, and music theory along with ear training, listening and memorization.
As a classically trained cellist with more than 20 years experience and a nontraditional musical background in audio, experimental music, and jazz, I employ a variety of techniques in teaching my students in ways that are both traditional and nontraditional. Although cello is traditionally a classic

I am specialized in Suzuki Method, but I also work with the classical methodology as well.
I have 12 years of experience teaching the violin, and I am happy to say that my students are great violinists!
I have extensive experience performing as a classical violinist in solo, chamber, and orchestral music. I have been playing the violin since the age of 8 and have participated in many well-known music programs. As a teacher, my focus is on learning classical violin technique in order to produce the best sound, while allowing the student to pick their repertoire based on their musical preferences, however always encouraging exploration of the classical genre!
