Whether you’ve heard her on any of the Disney Park shows and rides Internationally or on numerous movie scores like Forrest Gump, Paw Patrol or Father of the Bride, classically trained violinist, Jenny is excited to bring over 40 years of teaching, recording and performance experience online.

I love my job! There's no doubt that performing at a high level is exciting but having the opportunity to perform consistently and confidently comes with hard work. I don’t mind working hard but practicing doesn't have to be a chore. It has to be efficient and engaging, at any level.

Jenny has enjoyed student of all ages and levels (yes, even adults!), using traditional, Russian and Suzuki methods. Many of Jenny’s students have continued professionally, while others play for personal enjoyment.

I'm currently a session player in Nashville and some days are filled with recording violin effects that aren't traditionally taught but learned through experience. I'm excited to share both ...

About Jenny

Jenny has performed throughout the US, Europe, Mexico, Peru and Australia as a soloist, chamber musician or symphonic player. Winner of many awards and competitions, including the National Advancement for the Arts Award, Jenny has enjoyed a career as a symphonic and session player in San Francisco

I've been taking piano lessons with Jonathan for over a month now and I've been very pleased with his teaching. He's extremely knowledgeable and skilled, but what I appreciate most is his enthusiasm during lessons. He keeps the lessons fun, even when the subject matter is difficult. On top of this, he's just a cool, nice guy who I've enjoyed getting to know.

Working with Johnathan has been a joy.

It was my purpose setting out to study music in general, not just to study an instrument but to use the instrument as a means of approaching music in the abstract. I set out to study music’s mechanics and theoretical foundations.

Jonathan is very knowledgeable and very meticulous. He has a precise and analytical sort of mind, and very strong foundations in his classical training.

To have a wealth of knowledge in one's subject is not enough, one also has to know how to teach (which is a whole skillset of its own). It is clear Jonathan is an experienced teacher. I have never felt rushed with Jonathan, he is very generous with his time. He provides ample resources for study outside of our sessions, and is quick to respond to emails. He has lent me books, sent me links to videos, and provided me with plenty of homework.

Jonathan has also been very accommodating in allowing me to have some authority in planning lessons and exploring my own interests. Particularly I wanted to study modal music and found a folk song in the Locrian Mode. We took a break from the Suzuki work we had been doing and he helped me transcribe the song and practice.

I could not recommend Jonathan enough, I am switching focus from violin to piano for the time being and will be employing him as my piano tutor, and I’m very much considering taking spanish lessons under his tutelage as well.

Ian Really enjoyed his lesson. Jonathan is very knowledgeable and helped Ian with his basic skills and gave him great pointers. He also gave him an outline and daily practice requirements.

Very nice and professional. My daughter loves her.

I’m an adult viola student which is kind of different for me. I started playing again after a couple years and I’m trying to learn ways to play with other musicians. Emily has been really good with helping me focus on what I want to learn. She is patient with me and also plays with me and makes me feel comfortable in my lesson. afterwards I feel good and positive and I want to play more! I suggest her for anyone trying to be creative and wants to improve on tempo, rythm, tone etc. she’s good.

It is a year later and my daughter is playing well. Anje enjoys her classes and thinks Emily is a great instructor.

"Denice is an extremely qualified and fenomenal teacher. She has taught me Suzuki violin and Fiddling for 6 years, and I have progressed further than I thought possible in both my playing and listening skills, and my knowledge of music. She cares a tremendous amount about her work and her students which makes the program like a second family to me. Her teaching style is direct and purposeful, and she knows exactly how to push her students to become better players. I highly recommend Denice to everyone, regardless of their skill or age."

"I recently start to learn Violin with Jonathan and learn a lot more than what I was expected! I was a little bit disappointed because I heard it's late to start violin in my age but since I start with Jonathan, he always been helpful and encourage me.

He's very knowledgeable and perfectly patient. He has the ability to listen and understand where I am in my learning curve and adjust his lessons to my skill level which I love about him.
Not only he knows his stuff and makes his teaching personal to your needs, but he also has a way to make you feel successful even when you are struggling. I always feel better about my playing when I leave his class.
What I like about his teaching style most; he hands you a key to learning more rapidly. I think this is the best kind of teach that you can find.

For these reasons I highly recommend him and I truly appreciate his time, patient, and knowledge.

I wish one day come to I play like him; clean, easy and professional :-) !"
