B.M. Studio Music/Jazz Performance (Drum Set) from University of Tennessee, Knoxville
My lessons are both fun and educational, with flexibility to honor each student's needs and goals. During my time as a drummer, I have had the pleasure of studying music with Dr. Richard Ripani, Eddie Bell, and renowned big band drummer Duffy Jackson in Nashville, TN. I graduated in May 2017 with a degree in Studio Music/Jazz Performance at UT Knoxville, studying with Professor Keith Brown. I want to pass on all the knowledge I gained from them to you! See you soon!

Hi! My name is Luke. I've been playing drums for 15 years and have been teaching private drum lessons for over 8 years. I love playing many styles ranging from jazz, rock, pop, hip-hop, funk, worship, Afro-Cuban, and classical. I graduated from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles with both an undergraduate and masters degree. I taught drumset classes at USC for two years and currently teach students from grades 5-12 at a public school here in Nashville. I have a full 8 microphone recording/broadcasting setup for online lessons along with two drum sets for interactive lessons and in-person jamming. We will work on groove, soloing, rudiments, independence, and reading, but above all we will HAVE FUN! Hope to hear from you soon!
I've played drums for most of my life and the one thing I always tell my students is to have fun! If the drummer isn't enjoying it, the rest of the band will follow! Through music I've gotten to experience some amazing things such as working on the same bill as T-Pain for a short tour, playing in NY

To me, learning any instrument is about balancing the exercises with the fun material that makes you want to keep playing. I am a technique-focused teacher insofar as making sure any student of mine is avoiding bad and sometimes unhealthy habits in their playing. I do, however, try to find fun ways to work on technique, with the end goal being playing repertoire that is fun for the student. I believe technical exercises have their place in learning any instrument, but that it's important to spend the majority of your practice time on material which is ultimately enjoyable to play.
I do have certain sets of books I like to follow depending on the student's interests and age, but I am always happy to tweak the lesson plan to fit the student's needs. I also tend to supplement whichever books I'm using with material of my own, to make sure we're also covering important topics such as music theory and maybe a bit of relevant music history in the process.
Hi there! My name is Josh, and I'd love to be your teacher! I've been playing guitar since I was eight, starting out playing rock and roll, then focusing on classical training for my college career. In both undergraduate and graduate school, I studied classical composition as a classical guitarist,

I believe in teaching what you love. And that doesn't mean just playing and recreating all of your favorite songs. It means deconstructing and understanding the ins and outs of music that you and others love, giving you the theory, techniques, and process to make great music of your own.

I would never encourage you not to practice grammar or vocabulary, because both are vital to learn to speak Spanish well. However, there is more to learning a language than what you’re going to find in a book. Make sure to take you time to also learn cultural aspects and casual conversation skills. Funny memes and social media can be great ways to enhance learning Spanish, and also entertain you at the same time. Humor is intrinsically tied to culture, so while you learn new jokes or fu …
