I have been singing since childhood, and songwriting and performing for the last decade! My experience with performance, years of private lessons and my IVA (Institute for Vocal Advancement) certification have helped me tremendously to become the kind of expressive singer I want to be. I've tried a lot of different techniques, at times feeling very frustrated and stuck, but IVA's focus on using unfinished sounds to help shape the underdeveloped parts of the voice has been life changing. I also know how hard it can be to be vulnerable in front of others and find joy in music, especially after traumatic or discouraging experiences performing.
